A mountain lion broke into a Boulder home on the morning of Aug. 10, 2018.

BOULDER – Boulder Police tweeted a frightening photo showing a mountain lion lying on the floor in the living room of a home late Thursday night.

Police said the lion entered into a home on Marine Street through a screen door, went inside and killed a cat in the home.

No people were hurt, but it provided quite a scare for the family inside.

Police said the encounter is a good reminder for people to keep ground level doors and windows locked in case of wildlife or burglars.
