COLORADO SPRINGS – Lyft announced Friday that it is offering free rides to work for Cheyenne Mountain Zoo employees affected by Monday’s hail storm.

Dozens of employee cars were totaled and weren’t in condition to be driven, leaving some without a way to get to the zoo.

So, Lyft, a partner of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo said it would help affected employees get to work. The company also extended a 15 percent discount to zoo visitors who use the app.

Visitors can enter the code “CMZOO15OFF” for 15 percent off one ride to or from the zoo from August 11 to August 25.

The zoo also announced ways to donate to the facility to help cover some of the lost income from its closure and to help employees.

CLICK HERE to donate. You can donate to either the zoo or employees affected by the storm, just write zoo or employees in the comment section or in the memo line of a check.
