Tonight’s Forecast:

Scattered showers are sporadic here in Southeast Colorado this evening as a cold front clip[s us from the north.  They will come to an end later this evening bringing just the chance of a light sprinkle.  Skies will become mostly clear and temperatures with drop into the upper 30s.  Some patchy frost is possible on the Eastern Plains and along I-25 in microclimates where the wind goes calm.

Sunday will bring us the best bet for all-day sunshine in quite sometime.  Some afternoon convection may develop over the high mountain tops in the form of light rain showers.  Otherwise, slightly warmer with highs in the upper 60s and mostly sunny skies.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:

After last week’s last ditch effort at winter, the atmosphere is taking something of a breather.  We’re entering a relatively quite weather pattern that will allow for a gradual warm up to seasonal high and plenty of sunshine.  By the end of the week, we’ll get back into the pattern of morning sunshine and chances for afternoon thunderstorms, but at this time, no major storm systems are in the forecast for the foreseeable future.  Enjoy the tranquil weather pattern!
