ICAC Suspects
The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is seeking more information on two men suspected of attempting to lure children online.

ARAPAHOE COUNTY – The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying two men accused of luring children over the internet for sex. They’ve provided two very clear photos of them and now hopefully someone can put a name to the faces. The incidents involving both men have taken place within the last few months.

If you know either one of the men, you can contact Sergeant Rodriguez at 720-874-3769 or email their tipline at ACSOTips@Arapahoegov.com. It’s another reminder that parents need to monitor their children’s social media accounts and take the extra steps to teach the kids about online safety.  In addition to the tips below, please visit ConnectSafely.org.

Monitor the websites, apps and games that your children play and use. Make sure they are age appropriate. If they have parental settings, use them.
Turn off chat rooms, especially in games, as predators lurk there.
Consider downloading the free app, OurPact, on your child’s phone. The app allows parents to block texts and apps, like Facebook, Snapchat, music and YouTube, at any time with a push of a button.
Don’t allow children to use their real names, dates of birth or other identifying information in their user name. For example, don’t use Jack011506. Instead, have them create a fake name like Mandy2019.
