EL PASO COUNTY – Southbound S. Academy Boulevard reopened just before 11 p.m. Thursday after being closed most of the day for pothole repairs.
In a news release, El Paso County said drivers should expect reduced speeds and law enforcement presence as work continues.
The hole developed near the seam where the roads meets up with the bridge that crosses over Bradley Road.
County crews had to dig out an area through all three lanes that was about three feet wide by five feet deep in order to make repairs.
