PUEBLO – After more than 15 months, Corwin International Magnet School opened their new Park and Play Yard Wednesday for both the school and Pueblo community to enjoy.

At the ribbon cutting, Principal Ryan Masciotra and former Denver Bronco Antwon Burton gave welcoming remarks.

The school started fundraising in September 2017, successfully raising roughly $40,000 from local donations. These funds were used to meet the matching requirement to receive support from Great Outdoors Colorado. GOCO donated $110,000 to the project.

Additionally, the Colorado Health Foundation also contributed $200,000 to help the school move forward with the plans.

The playground is officially ready for action.
