***Tuesday will be a Weather Alert Day…***

Summary: The nicer the weather gets, the greater the impact of incoming change. And after a gorgeous Sunday with highs in upper 50s and low 60s (!!!), Monday will continue that trend, but by sunset, weather will be changing…radically and quickly.

A warm front passing through Saturday night, allowed the elevated temps Sunday, and Monday too. But to every storm, there is always a trailing cold front…and this one means business. For the Palmer Divide and Teller County, expect the change to begin right after Noon-time, with snow or rain quickly going to snow, winds picking up, and visibility lowering to under a city block when snow flies. Expect at least a few inches, maybe up to half a foot (but you won’t be able to measure it accurately anyway) there through the night, before ending Tuesday early morning.

In Springs (and vicinity), expect gorgeous weather through 3 or 4pm, and then those changes come. By 8-10PM, rain, quickly going to snow, and snow going sideways with heavy wind (over 40 mph at times) creating near white-outs…overnight into Tuesday mid-morning. A few inches (impossible to measure because of wind) should be expected.

Pueblo south and east, nice all day Monday, changes begin after  8pm. Wind, clouds, rain by Midnight, quickly changing to snow and going on and off overnight into about 10am Tuesday. An occasional white out, but less snow overall here, under 2″.
