COLORADO – As the Colorado Springs Police Department has investigated a record 37 homicides for 2018, News5 takes a look at the trend in homicides for the city since 2008. The data collected involves cases classified as murder, manslaughter, negligent homicide, and cases cleared as justifiable.
The following jurisdictions are not included as the listed law enforcement agency did not report a homicide investigation during the time frame of 2008 to 2018:

- Otero County Sheriff’s Office
- Baca County Sheriff’s Office
