COLORADO SPRINGS – Shortly after the Citadel Mall reopened on Wednesday morning after the second shooting at the mall in the last month, the Colorado Springs police announced that there is a third victim in Tuesday’s shooting.

Police say a young male showed up at a local hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound at about 2:45 a.m. Wednesday morning. After they spoke to the victim, they learned that he had been standing outside of the mall when the shooting happened.  He was treated and then released. Two adult males were also shot on Tuesday and they remain hospitalized.

A teenage girl was not hit by the gunfire, but police say she is a victim as well. The suspect or suspects are facing numerous charges including, Attempted First Degree Murder – Four Counts, a Class 2 Felony, First Degree Assault – Two Counts, a Class 3 Felony, as the investigation moves forward.

The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Violent Crimes Section responded to the scene Tuesday and assumed responsibility for this investigation. Early information shows that a verbal argument started outside the mall on the south side. Multiple shots were fired from a red vehicle and hit the three individuals.
