LIST: Santa Bob Toy Drive drop off locations

A local toy drive needs your help to make Christmas possible for thousands of kids! We’re talking about the annual Bob Telmosse Christmas Giveaway and they’re in desperate need of donations.

We spoke to one young man who received a gift from the Santa Bob Toy Drive decades ago and it’s a gift he won’t forget.

Jonathon Cunningham received his first gift from the Santa Bob Toy Drive about 30 years ago.

“It’s been a big part of my life because I got to see, not only did I get to see the kindness from one person’s heart,” said Jonathon, “but every year I got to see more and more people being thankful because of that one person.”

Born with Spina Bifida and raised by a single parent, having presents under the tree wasn’t always a given for Jonathon.

“With rent and stuff like that we couldn’t always afford Christmas,” explained Jon.

That’s when Santa Bob stepped in.

“Some people don’t see how much Bob has impacted some of the lives that he’s touched and one of the lives he’s touched was mine,” said Jon.

Started by Bob Telmosse in 1983. For years the toy drive has made Christmas possible for countless families, including Jonathons. Now Jon hopes to spread Bob’s message as much as he can.

“Show respect and kindness to everybody, and that’s the kind of person Bob was, and that’s the kind of person I’ve tried to be,” added Jon.

You can help! They still need toys, books, and stuffed animals. One of the biggest needs this year is new bikes!
The big event will be held December 22nd at the Norris Penrose Event Center from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
