COLORADO SPRINGS — Police are actively investigating a death near Palmer Park at the Ridgeview Place Apartments on Knoll Lane. That’s near North Academy Boulevard and North Carefree Circle.
Early reports indicate this was a fatal shooting that happened around 9:00 p.m. A police spokesperson Tweeted that he was on the way to gather information to provide to the media and public.
Specific details, such as the age or gender of the victim, any possible suspect(s), or the circumstances leading up to the shooting were not confirmed as of 10:45 p.m. Friday. A News 5 crew on-scene observed at least ten police cruisers parked with flashing lights amid the investigation, and crime-scene tape surrounding the death scene outside the apartment buildings.
