Man reported to be brandishing gun at south Denver theater taken into custody

DENVER – A man who was reported to be brandishing a gun at a south Denver movie theater was taken into custody Sunday night without further incident, according to the Denver Police Department.

According to reporting partner 9News in Denver, officers with the Denver Police Department responded to the scene and were able to speak with the man and take him into custody.

The theater, officially known as Regal Cinemas Continental 10 & RPX, is located at 3635 S. Monaco Parkway along Interstate 25 near East Hampden Avenue. According to the Denver Police Department, officers had to evacuate at least one theater in the building.

No injuries were reported by law enforcement in relation to the incident.
