Elon Musk’s underground HyperLoop system could start testing on a two-mile-long track in December. Musk tweeted that the tunnel for testing the Loop will be completed on December 10th. Musk also announced an opening event and free rides for the public starting the next day.

In 2016, he began t”The Boring Company” to dig tunnels underneath Los Angeles. His plan is to install a network of electric sleds that can move vehicles at 125 m.p.h.
Musk says the tunnels could also accommodate Hyperloop pods, designed to travel in vacuum sealed tubes and shuttle people and materials between cities at speeds as high as 600 mph.
