Infant hospitalized for attack by family dog

GREELEY – An infant is being hospitalized for serious injuries after being attacked by a family dog Saturday.

The incident happened in a Greeley home in the 2500 block of 10th Ave Court, according to reporting partner 9News Denver.  Police received reports of the dog attack just after 1 p.m.

The infant was reportedly taken to North Colorado Medical Center for serious injuries. The dog, a Siberian husky, was then taken to a local shelter.

It is unknown what exactly happened as police are still investigating the reported attack. Officers say the child was not left unattended during the incident.
