Police arrest suspect in stabbing at Dorchester Park

COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado Springs Police arrested a man suspected of stabbing and critically injuring a man in Dorchester Park Thursday night.

Police arrested 27-year-old Jimmy Lee Neill, who was described as an armed and dangerous suspect. Police said Neill stabbed a person at Dorchester Park a little after 11 p.m. Thursday.

Police said the victim was stabbed several times including at least once in the neck. The victim survived the attack with what police described as “critical” injuries.

Colorado Springs Police said they’re still investigating whether Neill is the suspect in a fatal stabbing that happened several hours later in the 200 block of E. Las Vegas Street.

No victims in either stabbing have been identified.
