The Colorado Springs Police are looking into the deaths of two motorcyclists that died in crashes in almost the same location on Academy Blvd.
A female motorcyclist lost control of her bike and died on Friday night at Village Rd. Northbound Academy Blvd. was closed for several hours into Saturday morning while the Major Accident Unit investigated the death.
Another motorcyclist died after striking a car a little before noon on Saturday. That accident happened closer to N. Carefree Circle, not far from the accident just hours earlier.
Northbound Academy was closed down again until after 3:00 p.m. while police investigated the cause of the accident.
