A motorcyclist seen speeding down United Avenue in Pueblo early Sunday morning has died from his injuries.
Witnesses told deputies with the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office they saw a 2013 Yamaha motorcycle suddenly take off and pass several cars before the rider lost control.
The sport bike hit a curb before going off the side of the road where it hit a light pole that feel across the road. A truck driving past the scene was hit by the falling light pole, but the driver was not injured.
The name of the deceased 21-year-old who was riding the motorcycle has not been released as of Monday morning. Investigators believe excessive speed was a major factor in the crash.
