Fire restrictions within the City of Pueblo have also been lifted Tuesday.
Many restrictions throughout multiple counties have been lifted due to improved weather conditions. City of Pueblo Fire Chief Shawn Shelton has lifted the current restrictions within Pueblo City limits.
This follows the recent decision made by Pueblo County Sheriff Kirk M. Taylor to lift Stage 1 Restrictions that were active in Pueblo County. Significant rainfall in Monday’s storm has contributed to this decision, easing fire restrictions in the city.
The city has been under a high-fire danger status since June 4. Pueblo County restrictions were Stage 2 and downgraded to Stage 1 on July 18.
Recreational fires within jurisdiction are now allowed. Residents with any questions are asked to call the Pueblo Fire Department Administration Office at (719) 553-2830. People are still urged to use caution under current conditions.
