Two people drowned Saturday at the Ruedi Reservoir in Pitkin County. The reservoir is located about 19-miles east of Basalt.
The Pitkin County Sheriff’s office says they responded to a call about a drowning at 1:15 p.m. Members of the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office, Basalt Fire, and White River National Forest responded to assist. The Summit County Sheriff’s dive team is helping to help recover the bodies.
Not a lot of information about what happened is known at this time, but more information about the drowning should be released on Sunday.
Recovery operations will take place later today with assistance from dive rescue personnel from @SummitSheriffCO. More info will be available tomorrow, when all recovery operations have concluded and investigations/interviews are complete.
