An El Paso County Grand Jury unanimously voted to indict a Colorado Springs Police officer Wednesday.
This follows an incident that happened on April 13 at 5750 Milton Proby Parkway, where Officer Gerald F. Bellow discharged his weapon. According to the 4th Judicial DA, there were no injuries reported from the incident.
But, Officer Bellow could now be facing the following charges, Attempted First Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment. Colorado Springs Police said Bellow has been employed with the department since January 1991 and is currently assigned to the Colorado Springs Airport.
The details on what lead up to the incident are unclear, as the 4th Judicial DA said no further information will be released at this time.
This is an open and pending investigation.
