Fremont County Deputies are investigating a homicide after they were called to an area off of Chinook Drive in Canon City on Sunday.
When deputies arrived, they found a woman deceased and contacted the Fremont County Investigations Unit to respond to the scene.
Investigators from the unit and authorities from the Colorado Bureau of Investigations are looking at the woman’s death as a homicide.
The woman’s identity is unknown right now and no other information is being released.
