UPDATE: Police tell News 5 that six people were given summons to appear in court after they blocked traffic in an anti-ICE protest.

We have a crew on the way to the scene and will pass along more information as we confirm it.

A protest in downtown Colorado Springs disrupted traffic at the intersection of Kiowa and Nevada in downtown Colorado Springs.

Colorado Springs Police officers are on scene and arrests have been made at the protest. Police said no injuries have been reported.

There was a large police presence at the scene around 6 p.m. Friday.

At noon Friday, immigration reform advocates rallied at city hall to protest the Trump Administration and Department of Homeland Security’s zero-tolerance immigration policy that separated children from their families at the U.S.-Mexico border.

It’s unclear if this demonstration is related to the first protest Friday.
