Law enforcement had a busy Wednesday morning in Park County as they dismantled a large illegal grow operation inside a home near Bailey.

The Sheriff’s Office reports authorities seized 780 marijuana plants, some cocaine and Xanax, and made one arrest.

So what did they do with that huge amount of marijuana? Well considering the legal limit in Colorado is 12 plants per household – the rest was put through a wood chipper which spit out the material into plastic lined barrels.

The suspect’s name has not been released. He’s facing charges of cultivating marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.

The Sheriff’s Office included a "hint of the week" when passing on news of the bust. "Illegal marijuana cultivators who are facing serious challenges regarding packaging their product should contact the Park County Sheriff’s Office. We have friendly, helpful Deputies who can assist you with your problem. And a wood chipper.."
