Here are a few of the events going on around town this weekend. 

Donkey Derby Days

This weekend will be the 87th year of Donkey Derby Days in Cripple Creek. The free two day jamboree will feature not only donkey races, but also street vendors, live entertainment, family activities, heritage competitions, a dog show, a beard contest, and more. Bennett Avenue will be packed both Saturday and Sunday for the festivities. Rocky Mountain Street Rod Nationals

The 34th Annual Rocky Mountain Street Rod Nationals returns to the Colorado State Fairgrounds in Pueblo this weekend. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be filled with over 2,000 vehicles from 1987 or earlier, an arts and crafts fair, live entertainment, music, games, an exhibit of automotive parts, and valve cover racing. Bluegrass, Brews, and Brats

Bluegrass, Brews, and Brats will take center stage in Manitou this weekend. The event will feature the best of all three at Manitou Springs Memorial Hall from 5 pm to 9 pm on Saturday. $20 per person will include beer from four local breweries and a choice of brats, burgers, or hot dogs with live bluegrass music all evening. Local bands Acme Bluegrass and WireWood Station will be taking the stage. Buy tickets and find more informationhere.   

Climb For Courage

The 4th Annual Climb For Courage will be going on at Falcon Stadium on Saturday. The first wave of the climb covering 2,700 steps will start at 8:30 am with a fun wave starting at 10 am. The entry fee is $35 for adults, $20 for kids, plus any additional fundraising. All proceeds benefit Children’s Hospital Colorado. There will also be a free Family Festival going on from 9 am to 12 pm. Register and find more information here.
