The 416 Fire has forced evacuations for thousands of residents as it burns north of Durango, but that didn’t stop one Colorado couple from exchanging vows.
Talk about sparks, Sara Kramer and her husband posted their wedding photos taken in front of the wildfire. Kramer says she had the photos taken to show how much she appreciates the fire crews battling the blaze and keeping local areas safe.
However, the couple was forced to move their original wedding due to the fire, but used the scene as their background.
The 416 Fire has reportedly burned just under 26,000 acres as of Wednesday, and is 15 percent contained. So far, no structures have been lost, but dry and warm conditions are expected to continue throughout the day.
According to the incident report, increasing moisture is expected to lead into isolated thunderstorms for Thursday.
The fiery couple is encouraging people to donate to the community foundation serving southwest Colorado.
