The historic Manitou Springs sign is making a comeback Tuesday.
The sign was temporarily taken down last August for construction on the Westside Avenue Action Plan Project. The project includes the reconstruction of a 1.5-mile section of Manitou Avenue and West Colorado Avenue between 31st Street and the US 24 Interchange.
The return of the sign will require Colorado Avenue to close Tuesday afternoon.
According to a release, the sign will take several hours to install closing the street from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Detours will be in place at Columbia Road and Beckers Lane.
Businesses in the area will not be affected and will remain open.
