Today we honor the sacrifices made by the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces as we pay tribute on Memorial Day.

Ceremonies will take place across the country. President Trump will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown soldier just before 9 a.m. (Mountain Standard), CLICK HERE for coverage.

Locally, here’s where you can pay your respects:

9:30 a.m. – Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs – Historic World War One and World War Two displays in the chapel. The 10th U.S. Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers commemoration will take place, followed by a butterfly release.

11:00 a.m. – Pueblo Riverwalk – Memorial Day Observance at the Veteran’s Bridge.

Remember that all government offices are closed and there is no mail delivery today. Check with your waste disposal service to see if your trash will be picked up.

Most malls, grocery stores, and retailers are open for the day.
