The roar of the Air Force Thunderbirds has returned to Colorado Springs as the group does a site survey ahead of Wednesday’s Air Force Academy graduation.

You could hear the F-16’s over the Academy before 11 a.m. Monday. There’s no practice today for the team.

Practice is scheduled to take place from Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. However, the support staff plane for the team is still in Virginia right now due to a maintenance problem with their cargo aircraft.

We’ll let you know of any updates to practice status.

The team is still expected to perform a 30-minute routine at the conclusion of the Academy’s graduation ceremony on Wednesday.
