The National Weather Service in Pueblo tweeted Wednesday night that the NOAA weather radios are off air due to a lightning strike.
This affects the following communities:
- Colorado Springs
- Pueblo
- Canon City
- Alamosa
- Walsenburg
- Fowler
- Springfield
- Lamar
The National Weather Service said technicians are working to resolve the problem and they hope to return service as soon as possible.
Technicians are working on the NOAA Weather Radio issue and we hope to return all broadcasts to service soon.
Severe storms moved over the eastern plains Wednesday night, with warnings in effect for Kiowa County until 10:45 p.m.
