Academy D20 Schools announced there will be no classes for students on Friday.
A letter was sent out to families that due to the excessive levels of absences throughout the district, the district cannot "ensure adequate supervision and instructions for students." This prompted the decision to cancel classes for students, as the day will be considered a teacher workday.
The number of absences is due to teachers attending Friday’s state school funding rally at the Capitol. For parents using day care, please check with your day care provider for additional options.
Normal school operations are expected to resume Monday.
