Amazon announced a brand new service available to Prime members that own cars made by GM and Volvo. The service, called "Amazon Key," allows customers to have their packages delivered and placed in their parked car at home, work or near other locations in their address book.

The in-car delivery comes at no extra cost for Prime members. You simply download the Amazon Key App, link it to your connected car and then order to your heart’s content.

It’s the same service that Amazon started offering a while ago, where customers can have items delivered and placed inside of their homes. In-car delivery is available in 37-cities and surrounding areas across the United States. The company says they will be expanding this program moving forward.

Amazon’s newest delivery service is not yet available here in Colorado Springs, but it is active in Denver starting April 24th. The company says they will be expanding this program moving forward.
