FOUNTAIN — The Fountain Police Department are looking for answers after a motorcycle crash left one person dead.
On Sunday at around 10:54 p.m. officers responded to the area of Highway 16 and Highway 85 on an accident involving a motorcycle. When they got there, they found the driver of the motorcycle dead.
According to police, a man riding a motorcycle was traveling westbound on Highway 16 when he failed to negotiate the curve east of Bandley Drive. He then struck the right hand guardrail, was ejected from the motorcycle and was killed.
Fountain police said speed and alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
