COLORADO SPRINGS — Here is some good news! A new report by WalletHub ranks Colorado Springs in the top 15 big cities in the U.S. to live in.
WalletHub looked at the 62 largest U.S. cities based on the quality of public schools and life expectancy to job opportunities and property taxes.
Colorado Springs took the number 14 of the best big cities to live in. Based on WalletHub's scale, Colorado Springs was ranked 19 in housing affordability,10 in quality of public hospital system, 13 in quality of public school system, 36 in job opportunities, 20 in air quality and 17 in violent-crime rate.
Though urban settings are less than three percent of the U.S. landmass, they contain around 80 percent of the total population, that's according to the United States Census Bureau.
Virginia Beach, VA took the number one spot, followed by Austin, Seattle, San Diego and Las Vegas. Detroit was ranked last.
