MANITOU SPRINGS, Colorado — Get a taste of what makes Manitou Springs famous with a mineral springs walking tour. From the folks at the Mineral Springs Foundation walk through downtown and stop at the artesian springs. You'll learn about the original settlers of the Pikes Peak region and how the springs flow through history. You also get to dive into the hydrological system of the Karst Aquifer and geological features of our area. The tour then takes a pit stop to the Mantiou Heritage Center for a quick cool down in the air conditioning. Here we get a closer look at the history of Manitou Springs.
The free walking tours take place Wednesday's and Saturday's at 10 am starting at the Seven Minute Spring. The tour usually takes about an hour and a half. Cups are provided, but you can also bring a water bottle.
