COLORADO SPRINGS — Fire crews from Colorado Springs worked very quickly to extinguish the flames of the second fire this week at the Ridgeview Place apartments at 3465 Knoll Lane in northeast Colorado Springs Thursday night.
The fire Thursday night shares a wall with the units that burned on Tuesday.
A man told News5's Sam Kraemer, that he believes it started in his unit. He says he put a cooler on his stove and left for the store. The flames are out, but residents are currently evacuated in the building.
On Tuesday, 8 units burned, 10 people were displaced and two cats perished after a two-alarm blaze at 3475 Knoll Lane. Avoid the area off Academy Blvd and N. Carefree Cr. at this time.
Another structure fire at Ridgeview Place Apartments. It’s the building that shares a wall with the building that went up in flames earlier this week. That’s interesting @KOAA pic.twitter.com/IIxqKHSSES
