November is coming to an end. Here’s a look at a few events going on for the first weekend of December.

Chasing Santa 5k/Cycling 15k

Kick off December with the Chasing Santa 5k walk/run and cycling 15k. The family friendly holiday event will have everyone dressed up as Santa for the races in America the Beautiful Park. Today bikes will get going at 9 am and the 5k will kick off at 9:30 am on Saturday. Registration, which includes your Santa costume, starts at $37 for adults and will be available day of. 25th Anniversary Holiday Gala Concert

The Woodland Park Wind Symphony will hold their 25th Annual Holiday Concert this Sunday. The performance at the Ute Pass Cultural Center will be a formal concert celebrating the holiday season. A reception will kick off the evening at 6pm with music at 7pm. The event is free, but donations are accepted. Find more information here

‘Tis the Season – The Stories

The Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale will hold their annual holiday concert this Sunday at the Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts. The 3 pm performance of “‘Tis the Season – The Stories” will feature talented young musicians performing selections from holiday favorites like “Frozen”, “A Christmas Story”, “The Polar Express”, and more. 34th Annual Festival of Lights

The 34th Annual Festival of Lights Parade will light up downtown Colorado Springs on Saturday. The local tradition will begin at 5:50 pm heading south on Tejon from St. Vrain to Vermijo. Floats, bands, and walkers will feature holiday themes and incorporate tons of lights. The family of fallen El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Sheriff Micah Flick will serve as the Grand Marshalls. Find more informationhere
