Here are a few of the events going on Around Town this weekend.

Black Forest Festival and Parade

This Saturday will be the Black Forest Festival and Parade. A pancake breakfast will be served from 6:30 am to 9:30 am. Music will be going on all day with booths from 8 am to 3 pm including children’s games, crafts, demonstrations, food, and more. The parade will start at 10:30 am with outhouse races starting at around 11:30 am. Everything will be going on at the Black Forest Arts and Crafts Guild with free shuttles available. Bark at Briargate

The Shops at Briargate will host a free outdoor pet expo this Saturday. From 10 am to 1 pm there will be vets, dog trainers, rescue organizations, groomers, and more for pet lovers to explore. Bring your pet dressed up for the costume contest. Find more information here.

Barkin’ in the Creek

Rocky Mountain Crocker Rescue will host Barkin’ in the Creek at Cripple Creek City Park this Saturday. The laid back and informative day about dogs will include dog demonstrations, doggie fun, vendors, music, beer, food, a kid’s playground, and face painting. The free fun will go from 10 am to 6 pm. 10th Annual Colorado Springs Powwow

The 10th Annual Colorado Springs Native American Intertribal Powwow will be this Saturday from 10 am to 6pm at the Norris Penrose Event Center. The powwow will be a celebration of native history and culture with native drums, dancers, art, vendors, food, and kids activities. Admission is $5 for adults. Kids are free. All proceeds go to One Nation Walking Together, which serves Native Americans on reservations in eight different states. Find more information here.
