LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles police say a Lyft driver with two passengers in the back seat was shot in the head and wounded in what investigators believe was a road rage shooting.
KNBC-TV reports the 24-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition after being struck around 4:30 a.m. Sunday north of downtown.
Officials say he had just picked up two passengers when someone in another car opened fire. The victim’s car crashed, shearing a hydrant on a sidewalk. The passengers were unhurt.
Police say the suspect may have driven off in a white Toyota Prius.
