Dine-in movie theater set to hit Colorado Springs next fall

The goal is that by next fall the old Kmart near Nevada and Fillmore will be transformed into a dine-in movie theater. RoadHouse Cinemas, the company in charge, said the building will feature 12 state-of-the-art auditoriums where guests can order food and drinks right from their luxury recliners.

Colorado Springs Financial Planner Craig Carnick said he believes there are four different things that triggered the Dow’s plunge of almost 800 points.  The combination of those things, he said, created a huge rush to the door to try and get out before the Dow falls anymore.

Denver’s proposed injection sites ordinance collides with the feds

 In November, the Denver City Council approved an ordinance to open one pilot location that would allow people to use illegal drugs like heroin with someone nearby in case they overdose. The proposal was met with a scathing response from the federal government on Tuesday.

Christmas Tree permits available for trees on BLM land

Permits are now available for anyone wanting to cut down their own Christmas tree on Bureau of Land Management public lands in the greater Canon City area through December 24th. Permits can be obtained at the Royal Gorge Field Office at 3028 East Main Street, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
