Drug detection dog helping Parkview Medical Center fight narcotics problem

Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo is taking action to stop drugs from being brought into the hospital and it’s using a black lab named River to do it. The two-and-a-half-year-old is a trained narcotics detection K-9 that is ready to sniff out unwelcome items that have slipped through the doors.

Heroin and drug crimes on the rise in Monument

Here in Southern Colorado law enforcement agencies continue to face new challenges in stopping illegal drug abuse and trafficking in our communities. Investigative Reporter Patrick Nelson spoke to police leaders in monument about a recent spike in gun and drug crimes in their area.
